We've seen one on Video.. all to bee seen later this month at Villa D'Este Concorso D'Elegance

Let's have fun and do a bit of speculation:

Which 4 names will be used, and why.

France: Wimille
Germany: I have no strong suggestion
Italy: Nuvolari
GB: Williams

The answer is below :

Le mythe a 100 ans

100 years of Bugatti – four specials for Villa d’Este As part of the events marking the centenary of the brand, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. will present four special models of the Bugatti Veyron during the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza weekend of 25/26 April. They are meant to recall Bugatti’s glorious racing history, which played such a pivotal role in raising the brand profile and fostered the legendary image that Bugatti enjoys today.

The four Bugatti Veyron models sport the racing colours of the relevant countries: blue for France, red for Italy, green for Britain and white for Germany. All four cars have an immediate “predecessor” in the shape of a Bugatti type 35 – the brand’s most successful racing car – lining up alongside the corresponding new model. These four historic 35s represent the generation of the legendary Bugatti Grand Prix racers that recorded countless victories in the 1920s with world-famous racing drivers at the wheel. The names of four of these drivers are bywords for these achievements, and it is after them that today’s Veyron “successors” have been named: Jean-Pierre Wimille for the blue Veyron, Achille Varzi for the red, Malcolm Campbell for the green and Herrmann zu Leiningen for the white model.

The owners of these four Type 35 models enthusiastically declared themselves willing to take part in this project. “We made every effort to transfer the defining attributes of the historic race cars to the modern Veyron models,” stresses Alasdair Stewart, Director Sales & Marketing Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “The colours, for example, have been faithfully mixed based on the originals, and the shade of the relevant interior upholstery is meticulously reflected in the leather of these new specials.” The upshot of this collaboration is a spectacular bridging of the brand’s racing past and the current state of Veyron production. The eight vehicles will be unveiled for the very first time on Sunday and will line up at Villa Erba side by side – four pairs in the same four colours

Royale shares coupé’s vast W16 engine, whilst mixing huge pace with more space and luxury

It's the Veyron for all the family! This is our best look yet at the stunning Bugatti Royale – a four-door four-seater that’s set to take the famous firm into a new market.

With the £900,000, 253mph Veyron 16.4 already crowned the world’s most expensive and fastest supercar, Bugatti is seeking to go a step further: it will celebrate its 100th anniversary by unveiling this hyper-saloon at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Inspired by the legendary 1927 Type 41 Royale, the new model would be as expensive as its brother and be available in a very limited production run for the company’s most loyal customers. As you can see, the exterior echoes the Veyron’s, while inside the cabin will offer unparalleled luxury, with the finest leather, suede and metal trim in addition to seating for four people and a luggage compartment at the rear.

Bugatti won’t be embarking on the project alone, though. It’s rumoured that the firm will team up with fellow VW Group luxury manufacturer Bentley in developing a new front-engined limousine platform. As well as underpinning the Royale, the chassis would be used on the next Arnage. However, the new Bugatti will keep much of the technology seen on the Veyron, such as its four-wheel-drive set-up and 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine, although this will be mounted at the front.

With the same 987bhp and 1,250Nm of torque, the Royale should cover 0-60mph in three seconds and hit a 250mph top speed, making it the fastest four-seater in the world. It will also feature the same seven-speed twin-clutch transmission – developed by UK firm Ricardo – along with that Haldex clutch-equipped all-wheel drive. There will be active aerodynamics, a Veyron-style hydraulic rear wing that rises at speed, huge carbon composite brake discs and adaptive dampers, too.

The current economic downturn means the Royale is still some way off. But with McLaren Automotive boss Ron Dennis predicting a return to growth in 2011, just in time for the launch of his company’s P11 supercar (see Issue 1,060), expect the four-door to go on sale in three years’ time.

In further celebration of its 100th birthday, Bugattiis also planning to launch a 1,350bhp ‘super’ Veyron later this year, along with additional special editions.

Latest drawings of the possible future Bugatti sedan, scheduled for September at the Frankfurt fair. Journalists and cartoonists have fertile imaginations.

It seems to me that the drawings (apart from not coming from VW) can't be true.

The nose is too short to be fitted with the 8-litre V16, the rear is hardly any longer than in the Veyron, if the rear passengers deserve a bit of seating space (which you would expect in such a "Royale"), there would be no room in the rear either?

So? Maybe a new design with one 4 cylinder 2-litre engine for each wheel??

Autovisie

Bugatti future unfolds in September

Bugatti unfolds in September its future, as Autovisie message after a conversation with Bugatti chief executive Franz-Josef Paefgen. In that month in home port Molsheim the anniversary event held to mark the 100th anniversary of the name.

Behind the scenes is currently working hard on a new model, as the Bugatti-leader on. “We are working on several projects,” he says in Autovisie. The new Bugatti is certainly not smaller or less exclusive copy.

The Volkswagen subsidiary has its hands full for the construction of the Veyron. From the coupe version, the sales counter is already at more than 250 units, which means that less than 50 cars still exist. For the Grand Sport has the brand to own several dozens of orders received. Bugatti produces only 150 two-open. Special editions will be based on both variants come. Whether there is a stronger copy out is not clear. Paefgen leaves at least know that Bugatti is not the throne late strike. “If someone tries to beat us, we will have an answer ready,” said Paefgen in Autovisie.

In an earlier interview with Autovisie, the Bugatti boss that “only in 2011 or 2012″ is a completely new model. “The new car must fit into the Bugatti history, but also to the Veyron. A totally different direction is not an option.” According to the principles of founder Ettore, the new car “at least one plane extreme, though not necessarily for performance. Bugatti affected the limits and always searched for new ideas to outdo the competition,” said Paefgen.

More rumors :

The Veyron is just the string. Without that most mortals will notice it, Bugatti has now entered the final straight of the production of their super, so with those 300 units to be completed shortly, it is time to think about your next car. Reportedly, this new model would have the name Royale, and would be presented in Frankfurt.

4Wheels reports that the vehicle in question will become even more exclusive the Veyron, perhaps trying to remember the extremely limited Type 41 "Royale", originally designed for European royalty. Its production is much more restricted to only be accessible to its loyal customers of the firm, as a character in The Netherlands is already expecting her third Veyron.

Of course, we know this because we can almost happy, but it seems certain that the limousine arrived to the market, it would Veyron's W16 engine that we all know, given the huge investment made in the same VW. We will see in September if the rumors materialize.

To my mind it is only rumors, just because its going opposite direction to what Paefgen told in his last interview posted just two posts above “The new car must fit into the Bugatti history, but also to the Veyron. A totally different direction is not an option.”

I guess we can expect something even more extreme and hardcore than Veyron. But lets wait until September and see.
