[15 Dec 07] :: Ettore Bugatti Bronze Sculpture |
Pierre Habets, a Dutch sculptor, only became fulltime artist 2 years ago. He made his hobby his profession. His wife Margot Habets, does the day to day PR of Flow Art, fully backs him up with his decision. Flow Art, a new form of art. It arises from a positive (flow) that touches someones soul. Pierre Habets already received several private, business and council orders in this period. One of the most significant orders was the -Ettore Bugatti with T57 Ventoux- sculpture. Teresa Bugatti, second daughter of Ettore B. and Jean Prick both helped with the creation of this sculpture. This was presented in August 2007. When Pierre Habets sent his first design of the sculpture of her father to Teresa Bugatti, she phoned Pierre with the following message: I like the sculpture of my father. But his nose is too small. I have a big one too! Pierre, I made the nose bigger, people dont like the sculptor to make the people more beautiful but like to see themselves as they are. Pierre Habets is very experienced in detail, that is what you recognize in his work. This bronze sculpture by Pierre Habets is available in a special personalized limited edition, with certificate and photo album. This with your own number plate and a special date, like a birthday date. Also Pierre Habets, will create next to Ettore Bugatti your own type of Bugatti, if you have a T35, T44 etc. with even your number plate and date of birth etc. It will be a one off limited edition. (nice birthday or Christmas present in 2008)

[29 Oct 07] :: New Book: Bugatti - The 8-Cylinder Touring Cars 1920-1934 |
Now available from the Bugatti Trust and published by Veloce Publishing for £30 plus post and packing: Bugatti - The 8-Cylinder Touring Cars 1920-1934 Types 28, 30, 38, 38A, 44 and 49 by Barrie Price and Jean-Louis Arbey.
Review from Classic and sports Car 2007 - "With more than 200 photos and drawings (all of them black and white), Barrie Price and Jean-Louis Arbey's new book on the Bugatti 'eights' is a superb introduction to these legendary and lesser-seen Molsheim greats.
"Veloce have already published Bugatti books about the T57 (57S, 64 & 101), the T40 and the T46 & T50. This book treats the 28, 30, 38, 38a, 44 and 49 and fits nicely in this series. We learn about the technical aspects, the restoration, the different body types and there is also a chapter on Gangloff, Bugatti's house coachbuilder."
The authors have generously donated the royalites from the sale of the books to the Bugatti Trust.
